From Sunshine to Saltwater (Yes, We Moved Again!)
Hey friends!
It’s been a minute (okay, maybe a long minute) since we shared an update, so here we are finally catching you up on our latest adventure. We’ve been a little quiet, but it’s not because we don’t love you. Life has just been… well, full. So here’s a quick recap and a peek into what’s going on in the world of the Kindles!
Back in 2017, we packed up and moved from New Mexico to Florida, answering God’s call into full-time ministry. Matt graduated in 2020 from the College of Missionary Aviation, and that same year, he was ordained as a pastor through Operation Light Force (OLF). We partnered with OLF in 2021, working three days a week to support their growing ministry. During the pandemic, when aviation work slowed down, Matt logged flight hours at a skydive center in Palatka as a skydiving Pilot.
Then in 2023, we teamed up with a missionary couple in Texas to help launch Heart of Heaven, a prayer and healing ministry. Over time, it became clear that this was more than a short-term thing; God was shifting us into a new season.
After much prayer (and a few long walks and coffee-fueled planning sessions), we said yes to the next step: moving from Florida, where we lived for 8 beautiful years, to the sunny coast of Texas. We’ll miss our beloved lakes, springs, and beaches in Florida, but hey, the Texas coast is a pretty sweet compromise!
So, what are we up to now?
Matt’s ministry schedule is a bit of a balancing act:
- 1 day/week for OLF online
- 3 days/week for HOH (Heart of Heaven), serving mostly trauma survivors
We also travel to San Antonio every other week to minister in person. On off-weeks, we do everything online. It’s a rhythm that’s keeping us grounded and growing.
We’re slowly settling into our new town of Rockport, Texas, a charming coastal spot where the fish bite and the sunsets preach. We’re excited to meet new friends, deepen community roots, and enjoy this new chapter.
To our Florida friends,
We’re so sorry we didn’t get to hug everyone goodbye. We had just two weeks to pack our entire life (yes, our whole destination trailer!) while still juggling ministry. It was wild. Please don’t be mad—send us your strongly worded text messages. We deserve them. And we still love you like crazy.
Let’s stay connected!
We’re always up for encouraging messages, prayer, laughs, or even surprise snail mail.
Here’s our new P.O. Box:
P.O. Box 62, Fulton, Texas 78358
And if you’re ever near Rockport, come fish with us, grab coffee, or just hang out. We’d love to see you.
Thank you for continuing to walk with us. Your prayers, friendship, and support mean the world. Truly.
With big love and salty hair,
Matt & Betha Kindle
