“I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts.” Exodus 31:3
Art Biography
Lilibeth Kindle, also known as “Betha Bach,” has been creating fine art paintings since she was three years old. She was born in Davao City, Philippines, in a humble home of an artsy family. “Betha” is her nickname, and “Bach” is a shortened version of her surname, Bacharpa, before she was married. Though she had no formal art training, Betha is entirely self-taught in multiple art forms, including sculpture, mixed media, graphics, and all painting mediums. She attributes much of her art training to her aunt, who owned a fabric painting business for over eight years. Throughout the Philippines and overseas, she was commissioned for many art projects.
Betha believes that God blessed her with her artistic abilities and wants to honor Him through her art. Her spirit was inspired to fulfill her artistic talents after she stumbled upon Exodus 31:3 while reading the Bible: “I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts.”
Betha Bach moved to the USA and started doing more fine art compositions using coffee as her art medium, and from time to time did colorful pieces using traditional art mediums. Most of her art compositions have a symbolic biblical component. She is passionate about dreams and visions as a way of how God speaks to His children. Betha’s painting has powerful messages as her art process comes from her overflow of praise and worship to God. This is not just an art piece to be shown, but moreover, an art piece to be shared with the world that brings the spoken word of God through art.
As Betha does full-time ministry with her husband, she brought with her God’s vision for her artistic talent in the mission field, as well as her knowledge of multimedia. She hopes to use her talent to share God’s word, help grow in her ministry worldwide, and teach art to children, especially in orphanages and for art healing ministry. She envisions her art pieces being used as tools in raising funds for Christian ministry projects. These are just a few of her desires for what her art pieces will be used for.
Heart of Worship
After more than 25 years devoted to a career in artistry, I have experienced a profound realization that has forever altered the course of my journey. I now understand that every skill I’ve honed and every piece I’ve created is rendered insignificant without the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. My faith and love for God inspire me to serve others, using the talents and spiritual gifts He has entrusted to me. Through this, I am able to connect with those around me—my community, friends, and family—in ways that inspire and open doors to the life-changing message of the gospel. It is my unwavering belief in the power of the gospel and the redeeming grace of Jesus that draws others to God, allowing them to witness and experience the transformative work of the Holy Spirit firsthand. I am wholeheartedly committed to letting God’s wisdom, Biblical teachings, and the Holy Spirit guide me as I continue to create artworks that celebrate His greatness. For indeed, God is the greatest artist, and His creations are the ultimate masterpieces.
Betha Bach's Art Techniques, Process, and Perspective Explained
The right perspective is the position of worship.” This single truth defines my entire approach to art, where every brushstroke and every piece flows from a heart of worship.
My inspiration for art springs from my quiet times and worship moments with God, the Creator of heaven and earth. Worship and praise are not mere actions but a vital part of my daily life. These moments of devotion allow me to hear God’s voice and commune with the Holy Spirit, renewing my spirit and giving purpose to my existence. Learning from Jesus Christ is my highest calling, and His teachings shape everything I do.
Over the years, I’ve come to realize that the more I focus on what truly matters, the clearer my purpose becomes. In the past, I might have described myself with earthly titles like graphic artist, sculptor, or painter. But these labels are temporary and do not capture who I truly am. My real identity is found in being a child of God, made in His image, part of His Kingdom, and dedicated to serving Him. This identity is my anchor, unchanging amid life’s storms.
The proper perspective means loving the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. It is from this overflow of love and worship that my art is born. I create not to please others but to glorify God. If my art doesn’t acknowledge the Holy Spirit, then it has lost its purpose. If my creativity isn’t inspired by God’s throne room, then why paint? This truth applies not only to my art but to my entire life—it leads to true freedom and joy.
The world often tells us what is beautiful, what will sell, and how we should create. These pressures can lead to anxiety and a sense of enslavement. But I refuse to be bound by the world’s fleeting standards. In a fast-paced world filled with temporary things, only God has the right to guide my steps and define my path.
I am in awe of my Creator, more than His creation. God is the ultimate artist, and as I deepen my relationship with Him, I learn more of His ways. His creativity is beyond imagination—He breathes life, embodies love, and shows passion in all He does. He is holy and just, and His works display His greatness. His wisdom is eternal and unending. To keep the right perspective, I must keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, continually worshipping and serving Him.
I do not limit myself to one technique or style, as doing so would restrict the freedom God has given me to express His beauty. I am not trying to imitate Michelangelo, Dali, Van Gogh, or Monet. My art is a reflection of the love God has shown me. When God, the greatest Artist, creates, there is beauty in every texture and form. Every possible technique, whether known or unknown, bears His divine signature. As Genesis 1:1 declares, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
Colossians 1:15-20 (ESV) beautifully states: “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him, all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”
If my artwork doesn’t point to the greatness of God, then what is its purpose? Is it for money or fame? To gain recognition or approval? These pursuits are not my goal. I create because it is a gift from God and a joy to me. My life is a continuous act of worship, and through my art, I seek to reflect the creativity and love of my Heavenly Father.
